Boniface Musambi Discloses He Nearly Took Own Life After Parents Barred Him From Dating Childhood Lover
Veteran media personality Boniface Musambi has let his fans and the world inside his private space by disclosing one of his best kept secrets.
The former KBC radio presenter recently opened up about how he almost took his own life because of a woman.
Musambi who currently works at State House recently narrated how he almost hanged himself after his parents barred him from dating his high school lover.
The journalist, while speaking to Billy Miya and Mbaruk Mwalimu on their Maskani 47 show disclosed how he had bought a rope and was ready to end it all after being denied the chance to date the love of his life, then.
According to the media personality, he was deeply in love with his high school babe and was ready to do just about anything to spend eternity with her.
However, his dreams were trampled by his parents who did not support the union.
This broke Boniface Musambi to the extent of wanting to take his own life.
That is not all; the former Zinga La Asubuhi show host was later disappointed when his parents turned down his proposal to study journalism.
Musambi noted that he was hurt terribly when his parents refused to sponsor his journalism studies.
He disclosed that his parents wanted him to pursue a different path, something that pushed him to the wall.
Coupled with the fact that he could not date his first love, Musambi’s quandaries multiplied and pushed him to think of the worst.
The journalist narrated how he bought a rope and headed to a far away village to hang himself.
However, he was rescued by some old men who noticed him praying at a certain church as he prepared to meet with his maker.
“I felt like my life was over since I could not date the lady I wanted and I could also not study the course I wanted. So I bought a rope and went to a far away village, ready to hang myself. I did not want my people to find my body. But while I was preparing to take my life, I decided to enter a church that was near the place I wanted to take my life at. At the church, some old men noticed how hurt I was from the way I was praying and decided to talk to me. Imagine they talked me out of suicide. I changed my mind and turned my life around.” Musambi revealed.
Luckily, the old men talked him out of suicide and that is how his life was saved.
