Well, as DJ Joe walked free, his Emcee Hype Ballo was held as the main suspect with a murder case to answer.
The turn of events infuriated a multitude of Kenyans who labelled Joe a snitch for allegedly throwing Hype Ballo under the bus to protect his own brand.
This infuriated a section of netizens who dragged the deejay online on end.
Many wondered why the celebrity found it easy to go on with his event despite the fact that one of his men was behind bars, facing murder charges.
However, DJ Joe Mfalme in a bid to fight for his innocence decided to publicly address the issue, albeit with caution.
Speaking during a phone interview with Milele FM’s Ankali Ray, Joe reiterated that he cannot discuss the matter in details because it is still fresh in court.
The NRG Radio mixx master noted that he is not bothered by the trolls because they don’t understand the whole story.
“People don’t understand the story, they don’t understand the story. But the case is in court and I would not like to talk about it.” DJ Joe Mfalme said.
Asked if he will still keep performing even with the case in court, he disclosed that he will because he has to do what has to be done.
In other words, Joe stated work has to go on despite the mountain ahead of his entire team.
“Yes, you know work must go on. I will keep on working.” He added.
It should be noted that the past few days have not been easy for Joe.
The star has been dealing with countless critics who have been on his case, wondering how he could get himself off the hook and leave his Emcee to carry the burden.
