KSh 500k Scam: Mzazi Willy Tuva Denies Conning Upcoming Artistes
Revered radio presenter Mzazi Willy M Tuva has distanced himself from claims that he has been scamming, rather conning upcoming musicians.
The media personality vehemently denied scamming Austria-based artiste Danny Dee KSh 500,000, money meant to secure him a collaboration with Tanzanian rapper Darassa.
According to Tuva, Danny Dee could not afford money for a collaboration with Darassa.
Speaking during a phone interview with Trudy Kituyi, Tuva said he is hurt by the accusations by the artiste whom he termed ungrateful.
“Huyu kijana nilikuwa najaribu kumsaidia lakini sijawahi tapeli mtu. Mungu ni shahidi. Sitawahi tapeli mtu. Niko na kazi ambayo inalipa vizuri nashukuru Mungu. Ninashughuli nyingi nafanya ambazo zinanipa kipato. Sijatapeli msanii na sitawahi. Atafute fame lakini asitafute kwa kuharibia mtu mwingine.” He said.
“It has hurt me kwamba sometime when you try to help someone, huyo mtu anakulipa kwa fadhila. Brand yangu nimeijenga kwa miaka mingi Afrika Mashariki. Na kila soko halikosi mbwa koko lakini hii imeni-affect but it’s part of being a brand. Ukishakuwa na jina, lazma utatupiwa mawe. It has affected me imeni-hurt but I have moved on.” He added.
Tuva’s response comes just hours after Danny Dee came out to accuse him and Darassa of conning him KSh 500k.
The artiste disclosed that they made the arrangement about two years ago but Tuva and Darassa kept taking him round in circles to date.
The star said he is not chasing clout with the allegations but only came out to fight for many other artistes who he believes suffered the same fate.
According to the artiste, he had earlier sent $2000 to Tuva and another $2000 to Darassa for the collaboration.
However, the collaboration never happened since Darassa never held his end of the bargain.
He insisted that Tuva could not help either despite following up the issue with him countless times.
