Mike Sonko Dazzles Netizens After Paying Hawker Over KSh 5k For Handful Groundnuts

Former Nairobi county governor Mike Sonko will always have ways to endear himself to Kenyans.

The politician has over the years been putting smiles on the faces of many Kenyans with his big heart and philanthropic moves.

Sonko, on Sunday, April 14, warmed hearts on social media after sharing a video of himself engaging a lady who was hawking groundnuts.

In the video, Sonko and a couple of his friends are spotted having fun at a local wet hole.

Well, a lady hawker who was selling groundnuts passed by in a move that saw the politician calling her so he could but some of her produce.

The woman sold some groundnuts to Sonko and his friends and was expecting to be paid the exact amount for her produce.

However, Sonko decided to surprise her with a lot of money, more than she expected.

The flamboyant politician churked out a bundle of notes and counted over KSh 5,000 which he handed to the groundnuts seller.

Sonko told the lady that she can use the extra money to expand her business.

The gesture impressed many netizens who camped in the comments section of his video post to laud him.

Many prayed that God keeps blessing the politician so that he can help even more Kenyans.

Sonko’s move did not come as a surprise to many people who know him as one of the most philanthropic politicians that Kenya has ever produced.

Sonko is known for his love for overpaying for services all in a bid to promote fellow countrymen.

From the barber shop to the garage, Sonko has always been giving small scale business people more money than what they charge.

This has in turn made many people to love him.
