Outrage As Court Releases DJ Joe Mfalme, Hold His Emcee Hype Ballo Over DCI Officer’s Murder

Kenyan on social media are an irate mob after the courts rendered revered entertainer Joseph Mwenda Munoru a free man in the murder case of DCI officer Felix Kelian Kitosi.

The court, in a ruling delivered on Monday, April 8, released Joe and other five co-accused, including three police officers who will now take the role of state witnesses in the ongoing case.

The latest development unfolded after the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) found and declared that Joe and the five co-accused have no case to answer.

The DPP noted that there is no evidence linking the aforementioned to the murder.

On the flipside, the court found DJ Joe Mfalme’s emcee, MC Hype Ballo answerable to the murder charges in a move that saw him remain in remand, awaiting the continuation of the case.

The outcome of the whole case at the current stage irked thousands of Kenyans who took to social media to express their disappointment at the courts and most importantly, DJ Joe.

A multitude who were initially calling for the release of the entertainer turned against him holding he threw his Emcee under the bus to save his head.

A myriad of Kenyans thronged the interwebs, specifically Twitter (X) to call out, bash and drag Joe for leaving his emcee in hot soup.

According to countless of people who felt Joe fumbled, the deejay should have shouldered the burden owing to the fact that even Hype Ballo was protecting him when the incident happened.

Many insisted that as a boss, Joe should have done everything in his powers to ensure everyone from his team who were involved in the case walked free.

However, a section of netizens still stood with Joe, holding that his brand is so big to be dealing with the case.

Joe’s supporters insisted that the case would have received much attention if the office of the DPP found the deejay answerable to the charges.

What angered Kenyans even more was the fact that DJ Joe’s team confirmed he will be performing at the Zero001 Club in Mombasa on Friday, April 12.

A host of internet users felt DJ Joe should have taken a hiatus from his job during this period when a murder case in which he was mentioned in.

Many insisted that he is inhuman since he can go on with his life while his colleague was dealing with a murder case.
